If there is ever talk about Dallas music, then GUN’s name better be brought up. A veritan in the music industry, GUN has been opening doors for himself and locals coming out of the DFW metroplex. When I first discovered GUN, you could catch him in the background everywhere, linking with names like Lil Uzi, Larry June, Key, OG Maco, Rae Sremmurd and more. Gun’s networking is unmatched and it played a big part into getting him where he is today. Planting seeds all around the states, he gained the respect from his out of state rap peers, and slowly became the go to guy when you needed something in Dallas. His behind the scenes work ethic is great but we can’t forget about GUN’s music. I’ve known GUN since 2015, and he had hits like “Johnny Cage” but it wasn’t until I was on vacation in California when I realized how good of an artist GUN really is. We linked in Hollywood, played some fortnite and I watched him work on and finish at least 10-15 songs. Each song was different showing off a variety of sounds he had mastered. It really dawned on me in that moment where I stopped seeing GUN as a Trap rapper with a great work ethic and started to see the talented and elegant artist he actually is. But don’t get it twisted, GUN will still up that 40 on your ass!
