We all know Taymoney has been killing the game for the past two years. She has visuals with over a million views and her hit single “Bussin” is on its way to becoming gold, there really is no stopping Taymoney’s momentum. With this article I don’t want to focus on Taymoney the rapper, I want to talk about Taymoney the friend that im watching grow into a superstar. Taymoney is not the queen of Dallas. a queen establishes a hierarchy above their peers, waits for no one, and is usually handed the crown with no actual hard work. That’s not Taymoney, Tay is the captain of her Taymoney Army. A person for the people, someone who makes sure her camp is doing well, and always looking out for her city. The first time I met “Taymoney” she wasn’t even rapping at the time, she was Taylor, a girl who supported her friends and the underground culture that the Metroplex was curating. As time went on Tay realized she could be the one in the spotlight and turned the idea of Taymoney into reality! I’m not gonna lie her first song “Lewis and Clark” was not my favorite. The visual was good and her style was so clean! She had all the right pieces, all she needed was time to develop and polish her new persona. I think what took Taymoney to the next level is when she really started incorporating more of her personality, hobbies and influences into her music career. Now don’t get me wrong Taymoney is a bad bitch, but I love how funny and laid back she is! Freestyling with her girls, always being involved in the room, thinking of creative ideas to push her next release, Taymoney knows how to mix work with leisure. The one thing that stands out the most about Taymoney is her support. Not a lot of artist in the DFW take initiative to help other local artist grow, but not Taymoney. If her friend has show, she will be there, right up at the front supporting them whether there is 10 people in the crowd or 1,000. Tay has always supported the DailyOoze, networking for us whenever she can. Im thankful for the friendship we have built over the years. Thank you for supporting the DFW metroplex like you do.
